Local Charity Starts Fundraiser to Give-Away a Dream Home

MIAMI, FLA. (May 15, 2008) – You may have read about the latest housing market trend: home giveaways. Lucky donors across the country are winning luxury homes for making a mere donation to charity.Now, South Floridians have the same opportunity to win a dream home thanks to a charity fundraiser organized by the Danielle DeMarzo Foundation.
The Danielle DeMarzo Foundation, through its “Our House” giveaway, is offering 500 donors the opportunity to win a three-bedroom home with a built-in pool on five acres of prime land in Palm Beach County, Fla. The minimum donation is only $1,500 and each donor will receive a gift bag full of prizes worth in excess of $2,500 from local vendors offering coupons for free and discounted products and services. All proceeds will go to supporting resources and activities for children with special needs and individuals with growth-related disorders.
“We’ve successfully held Porsche Boxster giveaways in the past,” said Jeannie DeMarzo, president of the Danielle DeMarzo Foundation, a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization based in Coral Springs, Fla. “When we found a donor willing to offer a home, we felt that would be a blessing to the foundation and for a lucky South Floridian in a difficult housing market.”
The target drawing date is July 4, 2008. The winner does not have to be present to win.
The Danielle DeMarzo Foundation will use the proceeds to help special needs individuals and their families access a broad range of health, social, and educational resources through recreation, seminars, programs and public awareness.
